Renato Ratti winery

Half way up the hill overlooking the main Barolo valley, along the first spurs of the neatly aligned vineyards, lies the Abbey of the Annunziata (Our Lady of the Annunciation), a priceless jewel of the 15th Century. Just as the good friars of centuries past produced wines from the grapes grown along the hollow below their abbey, a position of glory and grandeur, today, faithful to their same timeless wisdom, wines of incomparable quality are produced.

The respectful, yet innovative wine-making philosophy of Renato Ratti lives on today thanks to the passion and commitment of his son Pietro Ratti and nephew Massimo Martinelli.

Our winery is open from Monday to Friday from 8:30AM to 12:30PM and from 1:30PM to 5:30PM. Guided visits to the cellar with a wine tasting (around one hour and a half) are at 10:30AM and 3:30PM. For reservation call +39 0173 50185 or email info@renatoratti.com. We will be also open Saturdays on May and June (but closed from May, the 30th to June, the 2nd).

A new book by Renato Ratti
At the Vinitaly Fair, we proudly presented a new book by Renato Ratti.
In reality it is a compendium of drawings and cartoons concerning the Wine World, made by Renato Ratti in the '80's.
It's a fun and whimsical way to remember a particular moment in the history of Italian Wines, one that still has many links to our present day reality.

Renato Ratti, Le mie divagazioni.
